Andrew Reed Orton

This is old news to most everyone that reads the blog, but that's ok! Andrew Reed Orton was born on February 4, 2010 at 5:09 pm. He was 7lbs and 19 in. He is such a good baby! We went though a few rough days with an eye infection and billi lights, but one week later...he is doing great! Greg and I are tired, but it's so worth it! My mom has been here for the past week. I did not realize how much she did for us until she left. I am so grateful for her! I was not ready for her to leave, but I guess she has a life too! We love you Mom! (more pictures to come)

It's almost time!

I am 38 weeks today!! I am very uncomfortable to say the least, but the end is in sight! I got a pedicure today which was AMAZING! It kind of gave me a high. I hope that high lasts for another few days so I can make it through two days of work. I will work Saturday and Sunday, have Monday and Tuesday to prepare and then Wednesday evening I will be going in to be induced! Not so excited (more nervous) to have to be induced, but very excited to finally see our little boy! These pictures are from the ultrasound today. He looks like he will be a cutie!

4 years later....

I think Greg was looking ahead and wondering what he got himself into!

On December 20, 2005 Greg and I were married. Four years later we have...lived in Alaska for two summers, graduated from the hometell, moved three times, one (almost two) nursing degrees, survived the emotions of infertility, and now have a baby boy on the way!!

The past four years have flown by. We celebrated by enjoying a very yummy and filling dinner at Texas Roadhouse, visiting the Temple grounds and the visitors center, and then attending the Forgotten Carols. We both agreed it was the best date we have had in a very long time. I love you Greg! Thanks for putting up with me. Here's to four more great years!!

baby boy!

So we are finally getting the news out to the blogging world! We are having a baby boy! We had an ultrasound today and it looks like all the parts are there for a boy. I am 14 weeks, so there is the possibility that they were not correct on the gender. But the pictures look all boy! We can't get our scanner to work so, I'm sorry to say there won't be any ultrasound pictures on the blog just yet. We are so, so excited and now we need to start thinking about boy names more seriously. We have six months so I hope we can find a name we both like by the time he is born! I guess we will have to update the blog more often now. But I am not a big fan of pictures of my belly, so if you want to see my growing belly I guess you will have to see me in person!

Disneyland (Late)

First I feel like I have to explain why I have not posted until now. I kept waiting for Kurstin to post so I could steal some of her pictures, because we didn't get as many pictures as they did, it's been about three weeks now and still no post from Kurstin. So my pictures will have to do. After we got home from Disneyland I sort of tapped out of life, but I am back now so here is the Disneyland post for all to enjoy.

Mom, Ben, Kurstin, and Alex left on Saturday, but I had to work so Greg and I stayed behind. I worked on Sunday (which was the longest and worst work day). We were so excited to leave and be in the happiest place on earth that I did not go to work on Monday and we left St. George and 6AM and made it into Disneyland at 11:30am. We hopped between parks Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. We went to Huntington Beach on Thursday, which was a blast until we all got home and realized that Kurstin, Ben, and Alex were all cherry red! They were sunburned to bad we thought about coming home early. But can you leave Disneyland early? NO! So we got up Friday, bought bus tickets so we didn't have to walk, had a relaxed day, and ended it all with the amazing fireworks show.

Alex was such a blast to be around. We was always so excited about everything and said some of the funniest things. One day we were at California Adventure and everyone got to go on the roller coaster but he wasn't tall enough. He was crying and was just so sad that he couldn't ride it. Greg was talking to him and trying to make him feel better. Well they ended up throwing a coin in some water that they were by and Alex made a wish. Well the next morning we were in Disneyland and before they open they come over the speakers and talk. Alex was so intent on what they were saying, and after it was over he said "Greg, my wish isn't going to come true because Disneyland is were dreams come true!" We had so much fun! Thanks for inviting us Alex!
